oook i got vray cause everyone said i needed it, it took me 6 hours to figure out how to get the thing to work and then i made something "simple" and it failed so bad that i went and searched for some tutorials... and this is the result he did not have a glass model and he did not use caustics so thats why those such so bad... im going to learn more and come back stronger then ever...

any questions??

Well, it's really good as a first try on Vray. Congrats ^_^

Vray engine is the common engine on high quality 3D Max renders (as it's the facto standard on photorrealistic architecture interiors, for an instance), so you can easily surpass any 3D Max designer if you manage to get a streamlined workflow on Cinema 4D and VRay (believe me, Cinema 4D is far more user-friendly than 3D Max, and you get quicker and tidier results)

So, good luck, you've got good knowledge base with this, now it's only getting the hang of it ^_^

did u used vray in c4d? i tried once in 3ds and i didn't got the result i wanted :(

I love the honey color of the model - very rich. I don't know the first thing about V-ray, but I do think that the only way to truly master something is to do it over and over and over again, and always keep exploring.

...and, in my opinion, don't worry about doing things the "right" way. The only question that matters is "does it look cool?"

well this guy gave me the tutorial site at like 4 in the morning and i have a.d.d. and closed it never found it again but their are alot of tutorials similar if you just google it i found... :)
